Operation Christmas Child (a Samaritan’s Purse ministry) begins in October.
This is an opportunity to fill a shoebox with toys, school supplies, and other items that will enrich the life of a child who has little. We have the shoeboxes you can take and fill. Be sure to pick up an OCC brochure containing everything you need to know about filling a shoebox.
Postage to ship the boxes is the same as last year, $10. If you would prefer to just make a donation and not fill a box, please note on your check “OCC” or “Operation Christmas Child”. Make your check payable to Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Return your filled and labeled shoeboxes, along with $10 per box to our church by Sunday, 11/9. The national collection begins the following week, giving us a week to organize and deliver our shoeboxes to an official collection site.
There is great joy in filling a box with items for a child in need.
